Rock the Vibe

Caitlin Mattisson is an illustrator, artist and CCA(C) alum, born in San Francisco and currently living in the hills outside of Petaluma. Growing up in the Bay Area, she was surrounded by the rock and roll poster culture. from the 1960’s and inspired by the hand drawn/painted techniques of artists from that time.

Caitlin draws inspiration from the Tarot. Sci-Fi novels, humor and cult movies, comic books, ancient cultures/folklore, and phantasmagoric music. She primarily works on rock and roll posters for musicians such as Patti Smith, Melvins, QOTSA and Chelsea Wolfe and illustrates for select motorcycle, make-up and beer companies as well.
